About the Course:

This three-day Foundation course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the key concepts of AgilePM. It will prepare you to be able to work effectively with, or as a member of, a project management team working within an agile environment who are seeking more structure and governance to current delivery work. It will also prepare you to sit your AgilePM Foundation Exam.

Exercise sessions

Exercise sessions and discussions are used throughout the course to reinforce the learning process. This gives you a practical way to look at how AgilePM can be used in your own workplace.

About the Course:

The AgilePM Practitioner Course is a 1-day course combining revision sessions and AgilePM Practitioner exam practice sessions. The course is designed to effectively prepare you to sit and pass the AgilePM Practitioner Exam.

Please Note:

  • The Practitioner exam is to be undertaken following this course – not on the afternoon of this course. You will have time during this course to prepare for the exam, and you will then be able to schedule your exam and schedule the exam online at a time that is convenient to you.

On completion of this course you are expected to be able to:

  • Consolidate your previous AgilePM knowledge
  • Understand the AgilePM Practitioner exam structure and types of questions; and
  • Be prepared to undertake the AgilePM Practitioner exam.

Prerequisites:

  • You will need a copy of the official AgilePM Handbook for the Practitioner exam and course. This is included in the price of the Foundation course, not this course. Please contact us should you need to obtain a copy.

This one day course is designed to give participants practical exposure to a range of agile methods and to give them an opportunity to ask questions about many of the myths surrounding agile and its application in the workplace.

On completion of this course you are expected to be able to:

  • Know about the various methods tools and techniques of agile ways of working and their broad usage; and
  • Understand the application of agile ways of working to a project, particularly for timeboxed sets of products being produced in a project environment.

This one day course is designed to familiarise students with the development and use of Kanban Boards, how they apply to scheduling and their application to progress tracking and management.

On completion of this course you are expected to be able to:

  • Create a Kanban board
  • Understand how to use a Kanban board
  • Explain some of the advantages of the 6 core practices of Kanban
  • Understand project roles related to the use of Kanban in projects; and
  • Start to identify whether work being requested is well enough described such that work can commence, and when work can be called complete.

Who Should Attend:

  • The course is suitable for people who are currently involved in project management who are being exposed to agile approaches and also for managers of agile environments wishing to understand the use of Kanban.
