PRINCE2 Examinations
PRINCE2 Foundation level certification is attained by study through a course based on the PRINCE2 manual "Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2" and is tested through a one-hour closed book Foundation examination of 75 multiple choice questions, with a pass mark of 38. This level of certification is a pre-requisite to sitting the Practitioner exam.
PRINCE2 Practitioner level certification is attained through first becoming familiar with the PRINCE2 components, processes and techniques in practice in project management. The Practitioner exam is an open-book 3-hour written examination. It is based around a project management scenario and usually consists of 3 multiple part questions on how PRINCE2 would be used in different aspects of project management within the scenario. The total mark possible in the Practitioner exam is 150. The pass mark is 75.
Note: Candidates who have passed the Practitioner examination are entitled to put PRINCE2TM Practitioner on their business cards, but are not able to use the logo.
